The air barrier is the most significant, least understood component of the building envelope. Inadequate air barriers can lead to decreased durability, increased energy consumption, occupant discomfort and IAQ problems. Model code bodies are considering recommendations to incorporate air barrier performance criteria in upcoming editions; some states have already added this language to their codes. Here is an opportunity to move ahead of the curve in design and construction.

This course will be limited to 25 participants to ensure an intimate and dynamic exchange between students and instructors. The cost per student is $100; the fee includes a light breakfast, lunch, snacks and refreshments. Please contact Larry Elkin (843) 724-1462 to reserve your seat.
